My First quilt

I have been super artsy and crafty lately and have been making all sorts of little do-dads. I am even writing my own story! It is amazing the things we can come up with and make with our hands and minds.

 In my perspective, art is a way of expressing our selves. Even if we think we are not very good at art, we can enjoy it. I personally believe that everyone is good at art, maybe it isn't drawing or painting, but we all have ways of expressing ourselves. Whether it is speech making, acting or even math! It is art. Art is something we enjoy and makes us happy, it can also be a way of releasing tension and sadness. It is something we create. I want to encourage everyone who reads this to do something artsy, something that you enjoy, by yourselves or with a friend. Maybe its going to see a friend, I don't know.  

Remember, happiness can't be bought it is something that we choose to be.

Update on the Past Year

Wow I haven't written for forever! so heres an update on what has happend this past year. First off, I am now going to a new school (I got on the honor roll!). I went to the movies today and saw the new movie The Hobbit (definitely not as good as the book). I almost got run-over by a huge mob of boxing day AND christmas day shoppers. Oh ya, merry Christmas merry Christmas. I said it twice for Christmas 2012 and 2011. Okay so, I have also been working a lot on my drawing and art, I should upload some photos of it on here sometime. I switched my room from upstairs to down stairs but I dont want to take up my whole blog space with everything that has happened in the last year and a half. So...

Grates and fire wood.

When fall comes fire wood comes ,when fire wood comes wheelbarrows come,and the grate comes to life!!oh yes the wonderful grate let me tell you about the WONDERFUL grate. Its warm (and occasionally hot) when you get up in the morning and its very cold the wonderful grate is warm. Okay, now your probably wondering what the grate is.Our house is heated with a wood stove in a room down staires and the heat comes through this.
               
except this is not what it actually looks like.It usually has our family's cat on it and I trip over it, since its right beside the bathroom.

Early start on school

We started school early this year.
I'm excited it's going to be a great year.
I am home schooled so I got to pick out what program I got to do.
Were going to alberta in a few days so thats why we started early .
We are going to alberta for my cousins wedding I am so so so excited.

sunny days and being sick :(

It seems that every time I get sick its always on a sunny day.
No offense, I'm getting really tired of it :(
Today is the nicest, warmest, beautiful (a little foggy) day and OHHH yes I'm sick !!!
It's like the weather knows when I'm sick and tortures me with sunny weather.
It sucks, and all the rest of my family gets to play and walk and make apple sauce and I have to sit inside. I'm not complaining, its just ..... ok I admit I'm complaining :(
I'm trying to count my blessings ok,(1) I have a family who cares about me. 
                                                                (2) I have a god who loves me.
                                                                 (3) I live in a summer camp (cool right!!!)                                 Ok I do not have enogh time to count every thing I have thats that's cool in my life.
The weirdest thing is that my mom said that I got sick 'cause I grew so much and my body can't catch up, I guess it makes sense.                        

Rain rain and more rain

Today is one of those on off rain day but it never actually went off .
So we called off, sprinkling that type of raining thats kind of just dampening .
Its august (fogust as our family calls it) its foggy and sprinkly.
It was kind of like lets get out now the rains off(ish).
We changed our room up a bit me and my sister are getting a bunk bed, yay !
And we got another dresser so that we dont have to share one anymore !
a whole four drawers to myself !!!!
And to add to my day I fell down a ladder :( not saying that my day was bad.
My dad asked me to bail his boat so I did and my friend came to help me and a dead fish was
floating by so we grabbed a logging pole (I think thats whats it called), and tried to get the fish
but it was too far so we went back to bailing. Then my friend's little sister called "It's close! It's close!!"
So I went but it wasn't close enough so we put this little attach thing to the dock but it wouldn't attach. We were beginning to think this was a bad idea but as I was pulling in the logging pole it caught the edge and I was like "Hey, I got an idea!" And I pulled the thing up and we got it on but we still couldn't get it. So I said we should do it from another angle and we got it! We put it in a bucket and brought it to my front yard where there's a little creek so we washed it off.  We put on those mad scientist plastic gloves and disected the fish. It was fun, but right in the middle I was called for dinner. I'm sooo glad we weren't having fish - or to be exact, rock cod.
